Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Oscar Mingueza available for 20 million Euros, contract negotiations broken down between him and his club Celta Vigo.

Been linked with Villa and West Ham previously.

An actual RB who can play CB and LB, so there are options out there.
Ordonez is another one that can play right back that we should be going for.

All signs are not looking good - apart from maybe Charly we haven’t signed a single first team starter and Moyes’s comments seem to suggest we’re not close on getting anyone decent.
Understand this, but even Charly was with us last season.... so not really classed as a new signing, unfortunately.

We can only hope that something comes out this week and we really step on the gas the next few days. Won't be holding my breath!

I’m just hoping it was Moyes trying to give the recruitment team a kick up the backside - but it doesn’t make for good reading

You’re funny

My first sentence says the fact that we got enough points under Moyes to have finished in a European position, we all saw those articles last season with form tables since Moyes took over and we did very well

I at no point said I was happy with this squad or that I think this squad would get into Europe

But I don’t know mate, keep jumping to conclusions and making stuff up if it makes you happy?
The key word is bolded. Having a good run of form just cannot be assumed to continue over an entire season, it's daft saying oh if we replicate the form shown over this set period for an entire season then we'll get X points because that's not how it works, and virtually every club in the league could do the exact same thing.

Milan van Ewijk

They'll have a few lined up and awaiting a response.

The hope is the players down the list dont go elsewhere.

So say Douglas Luiz, if he doesn't fancy it, is Hayden Hackney 2nd, or 3rd? Suspect he'll be sitting on his hands on that Ipswich offer, like Fofana/Luiz etc will with us.

Conceicao jibbed us, Kubo too expensive, so we're trying for Fofana. If not him, maybe we go down to Tom Fellows, or Ben Doak etc.

Our arses are twitching just because we need so many, but at least unlike previous summers, we're able to spend now.

Fingers crossed..... I think he is only saying what most of us (apart from a select few) are thinking. He need's to put pressure on the recruitment team!

Let's see if it has an impact!

We had fluff leave the door. From "important" departures in Dom, Doucoure and Young we've already replaced 2 of them.
That's not really true though is it? Like we might sit here and say Harrison was rubbish so he doesn't count but he played in 34 of our 38 games, we can't just say ah we don't need to replace him because I didn't like him.

This is the issue.... if B/C/D list whatever go elsewhere whilst we are waiting then we really will be scrambling come the end of the window!

We should have a clear understanding by now if these players are in fact achievable.. if not move on.
