I expected we may dip into the championship for a few players but that doesn't seem to be happening. Hackney from Boro looks to be going to Ipswich for 15 mil and 35k a week which will disappoint a lot of Boro fans. I have to ask the question why no prem teams have come in for him but to my layman eyes he looked like a player who could step up.

There used to be value in the Championship now there isn’t.

Everton need to shop abroad and am happy that’s what we are looking to do, for every Bowen there’s a Tom Fellows

None of you really know why we have been slow to sign players and singling out individuals to blame doesn't help.
In general outside the Sky 6 no one has made lots of signings that I've noticed. Nor did many in the January window.
PSR hitting home basically. There will be loads of last minute action, which as ever leaves us struggling at the start of the season. It's about time our current players stepped up and fought for their places especially knowing they could get replaced.

No offence like but that’s a terrible plan. You do have to factor in how many games a player will be available for when deciding whether they’re a good signing or not. Going out and spending more money 6 months later because you hadn’t actually thought things through is how you end up being the sort of basket case we’ve been in recent years.

No worries it was just a half baked impulse thought rather than a fully thought out notion, definitely makes sense on being focus details such as that when recruiting. Also I thought AFCON starts in January. But your point still stands

We’ve tried to sign certain players but sadly they are out of reach at the moment.

We need to take a reality check and look at other options before time runs out.

I’d rather not have an incomplete squad because we unsuccessfully chased the likes of Luiz, Kubo, Fofana, McAtee all summer.
