Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

A couple of pages up mate.

If he signs a contract for less then what Everton were paying him we would make up the shortfall @PeregrineT? So, he’s effectively losing nothing financially in signing for another club, it’s very possible he’s not got a deal lined up at all anymore, it’s probably just as possible he’s waiting until nearer the end of the window to choose his next club.
I didn’t realise that part of the rule thanks

Wish I hadn't watched this. Some of his best stuff here is from the right hand side too

He is a quality player. I'm sure I mentioned him on here as one we should be looking at when Diao was at Betis and went for a miniscule sum. Como's owners are some of the richest people around, so he won't be leaving for south of €50m. The same kind of fee that means we can't sign Kubo. The more of this stuff I hear, the more my mind runs to the classic Everton "we tried", phantom bid territory, but I keep holding onto the fact that our new owners won't work that way 🤞

The latest Romano update is so obviously a result of another kick back from Fofana's agents. He's desperate to go to a Champions League club, and they know if they don't draw out a bid soon, then they will be forced to give Everton an answer.

We had a sell on clause right!

I am aware that his sale benefitted our financial position (pure profit) yet I don't think the move to Chelsea benefitted him at all. If he had stayed with us, he probably would have been knocking on the door of the first team before long, yet now he is off to Strasbourg in Ligue 1 without having made a senior appearance for Chelsea. Whilst he is still only 19, I would have fancied his chances had he stayed with us - after all, we have just signed a 19-year-old left-back to serve as a first team player.

Everyone’s being used in football. None of the reports you see from ITKs are the result of them doing incredible investigative work, it’s all being fed from someone who has a skin in the game. Players, clubs and agents are all out for their own interests, surely everybody understands that by now.

Apparently the club weren’t to fussed about loosing Small because Smith was so highly rated, we really lost some top young players under the last regime.

The academy brought in a huge amount of money.

Very much so. There's still a chance Fofana signs for us - he's not said no, and according to Bobble he is open to a PL club, but ideally he wants a CL club.

But he is obviously fairly desperate for it to not be us 😆. Chelsea and Liverpool would be his hope I reckon. Both interested before. Chelsea just keep buying, so it's a possibility. Think Liverpool are just waiting to see how much Isak will cost them (or if they can get him) before they make their move. City haven't really been linked with him, Arsenal don't need wingers, nor do Spurs. Newcastle might, but need to sell and their priority is a striker.

I love seeing the African cup of nations being thrown as an deterrent in signing a player , we're in dire need for additional players. I think the focus should the focus should be on signing quality players at the time being and if that becomes an issue later on, bring in additional player in Jan to fill the void
