Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Yeah. Feels a bit weird. Whatever you think the the bobble he’s always been clear that he doesn’t throw names out unless it’s far down the line. This doesn’t feel it’s particularly any further down the line than it has been all summer.
Yeah it’s a bit odd him putting it out there if Man City still haven’t decided on what kind of deal they’d do for Grealish.

Ideal world, we loan AMN in, loan Grealish in and bring on Fofana and Mcatee on permanent deals, allow the selling clubs to manipulate the way the fees look in order to best suit their psr needs or to avoid a bigger sell on for Fofana.

Sorts out both Moyes and the recruitment teams wants without limbering us long term with older players on big wages
Fofana aside...who I still think won't sign for us,we've still added no pace to this team here

Grealish and McAtee will give us much needed guile but no a lot of pace, which for me is most pressing.

They might already know if they can sell him or not depending on what kind of offers they are receiving (or the lack of offers). He still has 2 years left on a contract, and I think they bought him for almost 100m, so they might need to get a very big fee of maybe 30 or 40m to even make a PSR break even position.

If there are no offers coming in of 30m or whatever, then they probably aren't going to be able to sell. And if clubs know that, then they will wait and hope for a loan.

He’s actually very solid and dependable. You wouldn’t see him laying goals on a plate like we saw from Patterson on Saturday put it that way.

When we have such a small squad, having a player that can play right back, right midfield and centre midfield would be valuable. It’s not a sexy signing, but a sensible one IF there’s truth to it.

We’re not signing five or six players for 20/30/40 million.

You could argue he’d be a more shrewd signing than Tete even though Tete was a free. Niles is rarely ever injured unlike the Fulham man.

I thought exactly the same mate. He was very, very good last year for them tbf. But I can’t unsee the Arsenal player.

I liked him when he first came through at RB but then it was made known that he didnt want to play RB any more and only wanted to be used as a CM.

He then dropped performance levels until last season i think?

I think hes a good right back. Quick and strong and always available.

Just to point out that Fofana has a pretty big sell on clause to genk ....

So....

It seems to me that AMN could be signed for e.g £15mil and Fofana e.g £30mil to get some of the sell on fee down.

He'd be ideal on the left with Aznou behind him.

Grealish and McAtee could be top players for us but id see a Kubo or Dibling as being better suited.

….find it difficult to believe we’d want Malick Fofana and Grealish. Surely one or the other and not both.

Also, find it difficult to believe Beto links given he’s just been given no9.
i find it more difficult to think that they wouldnt want to bring in a player with pace. I do get what you mean as in another player who plays on the left, but they must see fofana for both sides and i still feel grealish would be for the 10

Personally, I think @den is a great ITK. He might be the first post-social media ITK.
Paragraphs of what Luiz's brother is up to etc, not what I know a lot of you tiktokers are after but his words are charming me
I have doomed myself, haven't I? I like to click around and try to connect the dots, but I should keep it to myself before I turn into a punchline.
