I will not be protesting, mainly because my memory extends beyond that of a Goldfish, and I rightly remember the 30 years of Kenwright and 8 years of Moshiri.

Protests? This is insanity, even by your occasional outlandish comments!
Why, what have they done besides buy Everton shares on the cheap, restructured a debt with the fans eventually paying for all that debt, and just started to squeeze fans for the first instalments of debt collection by hiking the price of watching the team by eye watering amounts?

The reality is they've done f.a. for this club so far and they cant even be arsed to come and visit it.

I was told restructuring the debt was something to pat them on the back with.

I don’t think people realise any owner who wasn’t 777 or Textor would have been able to do that.

Until I see a change to how we conduct ourselves in the market they won’t be getting any praise for me.

Apart from making the club debt free
Hiring proper professionals at board level
Signed 4 players already and they are not stopping there.
Not bending over backwards and giving in to daft wage demands from bang average players DCL Doucoure
Tied down our most valuable asset (Branthwaite) on a 5 year deal
Will probably spend around 100mil before the window is closed
Got us one of the highest sponsorship deals for the stadium (Not a glamourous name but who cares)

Not bad for 6 months graft.

Apart from that though they need to pull their finger out............................

All good that mate but we haven’t got a functioning squad… actually it’s worse we had Tyler Onyagano playing RWB on Saturday.

Yes, but do you think any owner was just letting prices sit? We've just spent £700m on a stadium, and its our clear path to generating money to make us financially solid.

Gone are the days of fans coming first. Football at the elite level is a business.

Maybe I'll be wrong, im certain I wont be, but im struggling to see many faults. Im seeing lots of positive, business like decisions, appointments.

Im not arsed if they never turn up, providing they turn us from basket case, to a side who can compete on some form of front.

Yeah, but apart from that... what have the Romans ever done for us?

1. Nonsense.
2. That was the quality of buyer we were attracting.

WTF?!

It isn’t the owner’s job to get involved buying players. That would take us back to Moshiri and Kenwright disasters. The owners would ideally have got the full executive team tasked with evaluating and buying players in place a bit quicker as it has left us undercooked this window but hopefully the structure will prove itself over the medium term. That is the extent of the valid criticism of them on this.

Importantly, there is money. They are Yanks and will push hard to grow revenues including us paying more to watch games and buy stuff as well as growing commercial deals and optimising stadium use. If we do not substantially grow revenues we can never compete with the rules as they are so if we want progress on the pitch we have to accept the reality. For those pining for a pure-hearted philanthropic socialist billionaire they could only do the same things in practice as TFG because they cannot circumvent the rules.

Mate you’re talking absolute sh*** to be fair. We all love to have a moan during the transfer window, but calling for a protest is the stupidest *** I’ve ever heard. They took over a basket case club, and have turned things around. If we end the transfer window with a few good players then there’s absolutely nothing to moan about. You fume that they don’t even go the game, but you don’t yourself.

I've called for nothing.

I'v said that they'll get one if they dont deliver this window.

Some people are easily impressed, because this lot so far have done in actuality the square root of f.a. for this club. They are not benefactors, they're here to get this club set up as a money spinning operation with a passive fanbase who'll pay down that debt and who wont make noises when they're squeezed.

I'll give them 5 years max before they sell this club on. We are clearly not operating to the same model as the one they have at Roma.

So lets wait and see if they do.

They are on the way to doing it, maybe not at the speed everyone is wanting but its four in so far with 5 weeks left.
