Oh you were a 777 fan then huhNot just him.
No silly, there were lines of people just waiting to buy us.Like the impulsive and reckless lunatic known as John Textor?
Oh yeah I remember now, I'm sure we missed out on some unethical investors with ample human rights abuses as that's Dave's metric for a quality ownerNo silly, there were lines of people just waiting to buy us.
That's why it took Moshiri 2 years to sell us.

I told you there'd be buyers for Everton when you thought there wouldn't be. Up popped Textor and TFG.No silly, there were lines of people just waiting to buy us.

No mate 777 if not the Saudi's, but in his heart of hearts Dave knows the Friedkins were the only viable option.
You can bet your bottom dollar TFG will be looking in the Middle East for new buyers even now.
It wasNot so sure, but Man City got was it Shinawatra, (sorry spelling) before they got their present owners.
They were the only group who were prepared and able to put the money up in the end Davek. Why others who were able to but not prepared to didn’t move is likely down to them wanting an even more depressed asset than we were - no one serious battled TFG in the end.I told you there'd be buyers for Everton when you thought there wouldn't be. There'd have been more waiting in the wings too...why wouldn't they have been with that stadium to exploit and the shares being practically given away? It just required a party that had credibility enough to put together a debt restructuring package.
Stop looking at TFG as if they are the only business group who were capable of doing that, because they weren't.
Some are such sensitive little lads. Just want those warm fuzzies seeing their owner in the stands waving to them to make them feel good.Nice little holiday out to Texas for Diamond and Dazza.
I wonder when the Friedkins will take up an invite to Finch Farm?
Bound to be the same with us. TFG have underlined they have zero affinity with Everton and see it as a business venture. Not so sure, but Man City got was it Shinawatra, (sorry spelling) before they got their present owners.
I'd guess bigger fish were unprepared to iron out the business model and weren't sure how lucrative the club can be in terms of commercial exploitation. They were the only group who were prepared and able to put the money up in the end Davek. ...I hate those people. Some are such sensitive little lads. Just want those warm fuzzies seeing their owner in the stands waving to them to make them feel good.
Some just want their ownership to take steps to help turn us into a professional club.
Some will complain no matter what because that’s their schtick
TFG worth £10Bn so already amongst the wealthiest owners in the prem, outside of sovereign wealth funds. I’m not so sure there are other billionaires waiting to see what the minnows TFG do before swooping in.I'd guess bigger fish were unprepared to iron out the business model and weren't sure how lucrative the club can be in terms of commercial exploitation.
I think we can see by the reaction to uptake of tickets, lounges and the sale of food and drink at the stadium that there's a fanbase that can be tapped into here. How that situation develops if the prices on tickets/hospitality goes up is not established yet. As I said a few times: we dont have a rich fanabse by any stretch of the imagination, but a lot will be able to dig deep and find it.
Once that business model is seen to be fairly inelastic - at least for a lot of people looking for hospitality - and once the events are up and running and proving a consistently big money spinner then the bigger fish will take up closer order. I would think, at least.
