I am absolutely certain that our failure to prioritise attacking signings over the last 4 or 5 years has impacted the team's ability to score goals.

You have no idea who we have tried to sign.

Well define expectations? They are quite clear this summer seen as though we urgently need another 6 players minimum. We are a couple of midfield injuries away from having no players to cover.

We want to sign good players not just bodies. Expectations are irrelevant to whether competency. No surgeon expects their patient to die in surgery but they sometimes do and it isn’t always a result of incompetence.

Im probably the biggest Moyes fan boy on here over the years - but i think his comments over the state of play in the transfer window are really unhelpful for the club - im really disappointed in him.

There are headline stories this morning titled:

Moyes: Really good players have turned Everton down this summer.​

If you are a good player and deciding whether to join us or not and manager is saying really good players dont want to or havent decided - are you more or less likely to join.

If i was the recruitment team id be livid.

Its poor, very poor and im surprised and disappointed at him.

I agree . All he had to say was that we had been in the mix for some top players but it's very competitive market .

I remember when we brought Danjuma in and the manager at the time wouldn’t play him because he didn’t defend enough.

It's about results at this level of elite sport. I have no doubt we tried to do things but we didn't get the players we needed.

That was another really strange piece of recruitment as well. He had literally turned us down at the very last minute in the January window.

Was actually an opportunity to big is up mate:

"We are in for some really top players, we are working and progressing on, the higher the calibre the player the more time it takes, but that is were this big project wants to go and that is the ambition of the club."

So unnecessary.

Work that out in the first place, find ones who are and erm, get on with it...
