I don't see how this works, Dave. I think you're right about the figure - I don't think the club can afford any more.
But if we're only spending another £50m on 6 players, how will any of them be any good? Even decent loanees usually have loan fees. 4 loan fees for players we'd want is surely at least £15m. We've spent nearly £30m on one player and a majority on here think he's not even starting in the first 11.
But we'd have to find another 2 players for average £15-18m who are good enough to push our first team and step in when they're injured or off form.
Who are these players?

Kubo alone could cost the entire budget if we need to pay the release fee and would certainly leave very little left if we got him. Luiz probably wouldn't be much less. Both would blow the budget wide apart with nothing left for loans.

Oh and they also must be young players with a resale value and nobody on high wages.

We set the club impossible benchmarks and then moan when they're not met. That's not having a go at you - we all do it.

I dont know. But then I haven't got the combined scouting experience of about 60 years that Moyes and McKinlay have.

Look in the Championship. Look to Scotland and Ireland if need be. Moyes did that last time round and isn't that one of his selling points that he could rekindle that type of cheaper quality player like he did last time around?

Honestly mate I’m not looking for an argument , all it was was that seemed to me you could fit 9 in there ?

I think another 9 , so 12 in total would seem a bit high . If we signed a further 6 I can see how the squad would be improved by that .

Its absolute stupidity because he cant even sign a player (excl Alcaraz) for the first 11, yet says he wants 9 ?

He's also previously said he cant do it all in one window.

Its utter madness.

If there had been some first 11 incomings then fine...but, not even one.

So I think we need a starting RB , winger and a centre mid . I’d also be happy with a left back

I don’t think we can do it all in one go but we can’t write off recruitment now surely ? We’ve no idea whose coming in
