Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Yeah, I'd be really surprised at that.

Moyes actually said "9 or 10" according to a couple of tweets I've seen, so I expect that has to be including the 3 we've already signed

Right back, left back, 2 x centre mid, 2 x winger and then maybe another option at number 10 or back up striker

It makes no sense especially when he previously said we cant do it all in one window.

We had 3 years of awful football, almost relegated twice had point deduction, nearly takeover by dodgy idiots and almost went bankrupt.
Yet here we are about to go in to a shiny new stadium with a very good manager and owners who have a clue and actually have money and the club have money, who already spent 50 million this summer and removed the high wage dross from the club and signed our best player to a new contract(who would of been sold this year) yet people are way over reacting, give your self a head wobble and relax, they got this.

Seems fans have short memories
Granted. Accept your point. But the facts on signings up to now dont inspire confidence. We can only judge on facts, not possibilities. Glad to be proved wrong though….

We really need 3 to go straight into the side. RW, RB, CM. That's where the bulk of our transfer funds should be going.

Deadline day. Wrap up a loan or two. Possibly a free.

A bonus if we signed some younger development players.

I agree but as is evidenced by the current market, there aren't many avaliable to us at mo till prices come down and players indicate.

Mcatee is away. Do we wait or just plough into someone else?

Why not include the post I was responding to?

I'm not seeing any text where I "advocated" signing 9 players.

What i'm seeing is a reply to a post stating we needed 12 players and me listing the positions down in wonderment of where the 12 were needed.
Honestly mate I’m not looking for an argument , all it was was that seemed to me you could fit 9 in there ?

I think another 9 , so 12 in total would seem a bit high . If we signed a further 6 I can see how the squad would be improved by that .

Not much change here this morning. Moyes has firmly aligned himself with the “unprecedented” = lots of new players not just lots of new executives movement. It remains unclear where he sits on the sheets sopping v sang froid culture war. Still zero credible rumours suggesting anything advanced on the 6/9* more players Moyes wants. Lots to do. Less time than there was.

* dependent on your preferred linguistic and contextual analysis of Moyes words

Perhaps TFG are going to but Accrington Stanley, transfer their better players across, and shut them down?

I means, they aren’t any worse than the players we don’t have/don’t have at the moment…
