We perhaps should really rename this thread to "Summer bitching and moaning" as there is so little actual transfer discussion. Most of the last 20 pages are complaints about our squad size. Outrage that Onyango has/hasn't gone to Stockport, really!

I’m sure we’ll be seeing Onyango tried out as a right back on the USA tour. He’s had an Ian Snodin style transformation into a marauding right back since he went to Stockport last season.

I understand the main targets take time to pull off with financial demands and other clubs' interest but I'm surprised we haven't at least brought in a free agent to fill some of the gaps in the mean time

New owners, new board/technical directors, new manager....same mentality.
If we dont have the money for the likes of kubo, luiz,mcatee etc. Then stop chasing them.
Accept we still havent really a pot to p** in and get on with it.
If it has to be fellows, soucek, coufal, harrison, then stop wasting time with players we seemingly cant afford.
Highly depressing...absolutely.
Fed up getting linked with players we have no hope of getting, or beg to pay over 5 years with very little up front cost.

How exactly does it seem that we can’t afford these players? To what extent do you assume we have been chasing them, when all you have to go on is the usual, questionable media stuff that is literally designed to have fans on strings all Summer? What insight do you have into the mentality of the entirely new ownership and recruitment team?

Links are nothing to do with the club, mate. You’ve taken a load of info from various third party sources, then attributed some blame to the club for not signing them/wasting resources on trying.

The situation is absolutely straying into unacceptable territory in terms of what we’ve managed to get over the line, but whatever else we have or haven’t done is pure guesswork and shouldn’t have you wetting your kecks.
