Seems like Benj is just told what to say, he backed Dyche until more or less the day he was sacked. I think his henchman Woany and Stoney had lost faith before Benj. He’s telling everyone to be patient because that will be the word he’s getting from his mates at the club.

He meant an unprecedentedly small squad of 16 registered over 21 players.

Let's nip the 'recruitment teams heads are on the chopping block' talk in the bud. Because the recruitment team are not even in post until the window has closed. Whether that's a bad thing or not (obviously it is) is a separate issue but TFG are not sacking anyone for a window they haven't at any point shown is a priority or important.

I backed Dyche until new owners come in, because he wasn't ever getting sacked prior to that. The first defeat after TFG, Forest, with him whining players weren't listening - I felt we had to change it.

Doesn't mean the lad is parroting the club - I do wonder if some give to much credit to Everton. Honestly - in over 15 years, they've never once bothered their arse with GOT other than their legal lot to threaten us. The other week the gets suspended our Etsy.

For a supposedly organised group it is a bit mad that they didn't have the foresight to asses the squad/contracts and have things in place for this summer really.

We've assembled a top transfer team this time around though. Just hope they don't leave it as late as the Odjidja-Ofoe deal. That would really be taking the piss.

My concern is that they've gone all in on trying to get a small number of targets and have been rebuffed by players and/or clubs.

It's late but not too late in the day to go after backup options.

It is late to be putting a B list together now, if they don't already have one.

For a takeover saga that lasted 18 months, they still didn't even have a clue who to appoint as CEO for 6 months after. They're just incredibly slow operator's when it comes to us.

It could bite them significantly though. Given the investment amount you'd think they would want to get things organised as soon as possible!
