Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

On to third choice on RW options which shows how difficult the market is for our standing

Given the sell on Sociadad owe, we probably feel Dibling might be easier to negotiate I dunno

I don't accept the excuses that it's difficult. That's why we appoint a recruitment team - it's not supposed to be easy. They need to find solutions and get the manager a squad which can compete. And before game 1 so we can get a decent start for a change.

He’s 19, he got 2 goals and 1 assist last season, and a couple of years ago he got homesick moving from Southampton to London after 1 month of being away.

He’s a project.
He was class this season on one of the worst prem teams ever. He had no support around him and still managed to shine. Judging him on g/a is silly and you know that.

The assumption is that we are now going after Dibling. Sure, he may be the next one on the list, but this could also easily be the negotiating tactic. Whats the best way to get the player you want(Kubo) when the club is holding out for a bigger fee or someone else to come in? Take the deal away, make them think their sale is about to walk away permanently to another player/club.

This also keeps them from shopping the player for the next 3 weeks because their current best option has a short deadline. You tell them you love player A, but have to get a player in that week, once you buy another player you are done.

So that article suggests we aren't working silently, the few mentioned RW targets in the media seem to be the only ones the club has genuinely been interested in and persued. Wonder if this applies to other positions

Moving down through the list or negotiating it is.

Fair play to sociedad they’ve done their homework on us - they know wel be desperate.

If we’re clever and he wants the move badly we should get Kubo on side and make Him unhappy there. We did that with Barry.

Joyce has been briefed here.

Wow you’re so cool and unbothered mate 😎👌
Not at all.
I am as disappointed by our lack of transfer activity as anyone.
I just don't feel the need to share it every three minutes.

I firmly believe that by September 1st we will have a good transfer window and if by then you remind of this post I will gladly admit I was wrong if we don't make good signings.

Personally i think we will get 6-7 players in by the end of the window.

A mixture of permanent and max out the loan market.

The frustration is the window closes 3 weeks after the season starts. I think we will have a busy last week.
Like always. Scrambling for the sh** that’s left.
