There’s already a situation brewing—a real journalistic case, you could say. This morning, all the players arrived through that entrance over there, partially hidden by the tree. But Douglas Luiz’s car was missing.
He didn’t show up for the team gathering, and that’s a very serious gesture, especially since, at the time I’m speaking, no explanation has been given.
This is a clear stance against the club, which is extremely upset. Disciplinary action will be taken—an expected response, of course.
It’s unclear whether Luiz is still in Brazil or already in Europe. We simply don’t know where he is. But this behavior marks a definitive break with Juventus.
When a player does something like this, the story is over. It’s essentially a mutiny, and Luiz is already on the market—we know that. But this is the final push toward a complete rupture.
Where will he go? That’s hard to say. His agent has been in England for a few days, looking for a new club. Everton seems to be in pole position, but other teams have been contacted too—West Ham, Nottingham Forest, even a surprising return to Aston Villa, and Manchester United is also in the mix.
Juventus is asking for €30 million, but would accept a €10 million paid loan with a €30 million obligation to buy.
This is a serious situation. Honestly, I can’t recall any similar gesture from a Juventus player in the past. The club now needs to show it’s strong, serious, and in control. I have no doubt they will.
