Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Hadn’t really thought anything of it until now but Roma basically signing a player per day whilst we do absolutely zilch is irking me a bit, I can’t lie.

whats the obsession with mcatee?

361 minutes in the league for Man City over that period with 3 goals. Which is a goal every 1.3 games.

542 minutes in domestic cups for Man City with 3 goals. Goal every 2 games

151 minutes in European comps for Man City with 1 goal. Goal every 1.6 games.

Man City total - 1,054 minutes (11.7 full games) and 7 goals. Works out at a goal every 1.6 games.

For Sheff Utd in total it was 4,316 minutes (48 full games) scoring 14. Goal every 3.4 games.

His senior club career in total is 5,370 minutes (59.6 full games) scoring 21 times. Goal every 2.8 games.

To add a bit of context here, his main bulk of game time is with Sheff Utd when he was between the age of 20-22.

Don’t know the reason he hadn’t shown up for training is a big concern but it might not be a sinister as it sounds.

The question really is why did Villa let him go and Juve releasing him after a season ?
Villa was for PSR. Couldn't really tell you why he didn't seem to settle at Juve though.. but then again some players either 'fit' into certain setups or they don't.

How many have they signed?

Considering our womens team signing lots of players too, maybe the issue is Moyes rather than TFG

Moyes doesn't do the deals or negotiate as you must know, the negotiating is down to our highly rated recruitment team, there is enough of them, if they have been brought in too late then that is down to the owners. Sounds a bit like an agenda against Moyes that last post.

Yeah, Moyes will have some say in transfers, especially if he is meeting players but I doubt the Friedkins are going to let him have as much of a weight in deciding them as people are suggesting.

I think we're a great move for him tbh. Look at the role he played at Villa in their transition from relegation battle to Europe. He comes here, backs himself to be the hero again, and gets another crack at the big time before he's 30.
I agree mate. But modern footballers don't think that way. If they did, Chelsea wouldn’t have 60 players.

Tried to sign that Steven Davis at Fulham who basically went on strike to force the move , but then did his knee .

Also signed kudus who I think also went on strike

We would have signed Kudus, strike or not, the only thing that stopped the signing was we couldn't match their evaluation and the small matter of United idiotically vastly overpaying for Ajax's winger Antony.

Signed El Eynaoui and Ferguson and about to get Wesley and Ghilardi too. People will say “oh well we’ve signed three players” but two of them were a loan being made permanent and a backup keeper, hardly the game changing signings we were promised…

2, 1 less than us, from what I can see.

But let's not let facts get in the way here.

Apparently;

Not many, but think Wesley is all but done too.

[edit] assume 1st july element means loans back/activation contract on them two.
