Both Doucoure and Young played valuable roles in our defensive solidity. Even Harrison put in Dyche’s hard yards. I agree we’ve lost very little going forward but we are definitely not as well equipped to dig in as we were at the end of last season. That does matter.

Once Moyes rejoined Young hardly played as JOB took his spot and even Doucoure was being phased out by the end of the season. We kept a clean sheet against Newcastle without Tawks and Branthewaite. If Dyche was in charge you may have a point but he isn't. We have lost bodies, that is all. They are all easily replaceable with equivalents in very short order if that is all we are trying to achieve. We have signed 4 players on deadline in past seasons. The Hitchhikers Guide to the Transfer Window says DON'T PANIC.
