Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I've watched bits of him and he can beat a man over the first 5 yards with his feet but after that you need that pace to follow through.

We need players who can carry the ball forward at pace on the wings especially ones that will complement Barry's attributes.

Slow build up play with his back to ain't going to do it, we'll need balls in from the byline in and around the 6 yard box.

Bakayoko was ideal for me but alas.
He moves into space, controls well, and can pass. The more of that we get around Ndiaye and/or Alcaraz, the better.

Give us at least 1 pacy winger and 2 midfielders who can complete a pass and we suddenly have a real chance at transitioning on the counter attack.

He’s one of those players where I won’t be fussed if we get him, but will be absolutely enraged when he goes to Forest.
I think sometimes the anger comes from,me included by the way in the fact we've been beaten to a player by a club that we deem more inferior to our own.

Its an unwelcome reality check to how people outside the Evertonsphere view us.

2 summers ago when Bournemouth were beating us to players that for me was the biggest sign of far we'd fallen.

In the 90s mate teams could make transfers all year round. Except for a couple of months at the end of the season - I think it was April and May when you couldn't buy, presumably so that teams could focus on the serious business of winning trophies without having their star players nicked! The transfer windows as we know them today came in early 2000s iirc.
It was to stop big clubs poaching players in March to get them over the line in title races.

Moyes is spearheading the recruitment process so if it doesn't come together for reason it's on him and he's been very optimistic this summer regarding signings which in the past he has always been transparent about even if it didn't bode well
They’ve brought a whole team in, so it’s definitely not all on Moyes. For all we know he could have asked for players and the club have said No, it doesn’t suit their strategy. We’ll find out at some point because he’s not scared to speak his mind as much nowadays.

El Khannous is good, don't get me wrong.

Akliouche is an £80m player in waiting. He's a serious talent someone will get him for £20m/£25m this summer and he'll be a star. Exactly what we need on the right too.
If the internet can be trusted, Monaco is already asking £70M for him.
Scored a hat trick and set 2 up at the weekend.

His value doubled ha.
