The long posts with 10+ likes explaining why it's silly to worry/panic aren't working anymore. I am concerned at this point. So much work needs to be done and I think we'll now be forced to cut some corners on a few underwhelming signings that aren't high on the list of targets.

NO CORRELATION. Pre season doesn’t matter and it makes you wonder why anyone bothers with it at all really doesn’t it. Just get fit during the season innit??!?!

So what is the sweet spot where we can get our top targets? When does the Top Target transfer window open and close? Because if we buy too early then we get all the crap desperate panic buys, but also if we leave it too late then we end up with the crap desperate panic buys as well. Can you clarify when are the weeks of the window where I can safely assume Jack Harrison isn’t going to rock up?

I just don't understand why you can't comprehend that buying a footballer from another club isn't like going to the shops to buy a pair of trainers. Until you grasp this I really can't help you and the ebbs and flows of each transfer window (and your bed linen) are always going to remain a source of frustration/embarrassment to you.

There is absolutely zero correlation between pre-season results and how we perform in the actual season. None whatsoever.

Surely there is, I mean if you get you're signings in early they can be her in quicker and you're team hypothetically should be stronger from the start. Instead of using players that you are trying to replace.

Ah I get it. Transfers are dead hard but everyone else has managed to assemble an actual first team squad.

It’s ok to just have reasonable views without getting too negative or positive, or agitated even in disagreement, lads.

I dare say there’s a lot of posters on here who’d like to use this thread as a resource to catch up on transfers every day and see relevant posts to whom we’re linked with/signing rather than having to trawl through 60 pages of petty squabbling and repetitive arguments worded in marginally different ways. Especially when it’s essentially from fans who want the exact same thing, a successful Everton.
