Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

The long posts with 10+ likes explaining why it's silly to worry/panic aren't working anymore. I am concerned at this point. So much work needs to be done and I think we'll now be forced to cut some corners on a few underwhelming signings that aren't high on the list of targets.
Oh you're concerned now?, not 5 or 6 weeks ago when you started a daily whinge campaign bemoaning everything , don't need a long post , several sentences will suffice

Non of the players we have lost are big misses. They can easily be replaced with cheap loans if we get desperate. In Harrison case we could play a traffic cone on the right and it would have the same level of contribution.
Again you’re missing the main point and it was the reason we ended with a load of crap players for waiting to late in
The window, like maupay. Teams even on a loan deal will hold us to ransom late on in the window, we still have 5 weeks, but we need to get a move on, or we will be back into maupay territory or doing what Moyes did at West Ham and playing 7mil for a 6 month loan of a player who wasn’t even fit. IE Kalvin Phillips

Hopefully yes but we should be mindful of one or two downsides:

- Injury risk to key players - playing in oppressive heat on hard pitches with a tiny squad
- Likely that we will lose all 3 games - not the best optics for our USA fans, new owners or prospective sponsors

However……..on the flip-side, 3 defeats could spur TFG into action and we might sign some players.
I just don't see much of a downside, personally. Injuries can happen at literally any moment, as we well know..

I also doubt that the lads would be so downhearted if we lost all 3 games. It's just more fitness/prep under their belts end of the day, which they'll be well conscious of above all else..
