Even the at now positive of us know more should have been done so far. If when the window closes our first 11 and squad as a whole isnt a lot better everyone of us will be fuming.

I get the criticism directed towards the club for our lack of business but do think or atleast hope it will massively improve.

But some are like a girl i used to work with. Terrible day at work, its very quiet, barely anything happening its going proper slow for everyone of us as we all in the same situation and the girl points out its going so bad over and over and saying we still have 7 hours and 30 mins till work finishes, then 20 mins later we still have 7 hours and 10 mins till work finishes, on and on all day which just makes it even worse and go even slower. We get it love the days rubbish and going proper slow but you reminding us every 10 or 20 mins doesnt help you or us it just makes it even worse for us all. Positivity and negativity is to be expected but when someone repeats the same thing 50 times a day every day its just boring.

My biggest problem is the lack of anything from the club, manager, recruitment team. “The peoples club” youd hope every now and then someone would put out updates that stuff is being done behind the scenes and things are progressing, appease the fanbase as a whole when it seems nothing at all is happening.

Do people really need reassurance and reminders of that?

Cant people just assume that it's happening.

You will never please everyone because there will be the people moaning there's nothing new in terms of progress, there will be people moaning that we shouldn't be showing our hand, there will be people moaning that it's just lip service, there will be people in histrionics trying to mininterpret meaning.

I'd rather the club just got on with the transfer window, prep for the new season and wait to see where we are come the end of the window.

We've been going since 2007 and we've had probably 10 worse summers than that since.



I think the squad we have now would be in a relegation fight myself.

Just as well we're able to spend, otherwise we'd be toast.



I get it mate, but equally there's a few who are making out like there's no concern at all.

I think we need to stop making excuses as a fan base.

Sure, we don't need to panic just yet, but we should all understand concern.

In 04 we’d just finished 17th on 39 points, sold our best player for 27 mill, sold our second best attacking option, and replaced both of them with two players from the championship for absolute pittance. It only looks like a decent summer afterwards because we came 4th. At the time we’d have been one of the favourites for relegation.

We’ll get the numbers to fill out the squad before the window is over but the first 11 even as it is now is in better state than previous seasons. I was much more worried going into the last 3 seasons than I am about this one.

Are any of the American players any cop at the moment?

I loved Landon Donovan - guts, heart, no little ability - but the current generation seem lacking. I'm sure Americans on here will correct me if I'm wrong.

Jack McGlynn - Cincinnati. Has a touch of the Adam Wharton about him. Excellent passer, left footer, 20 years old.

as Alan Ball's great nephew, surely we hold some weight, big new stadium - forest have sold/selling their 2 best players - they also dropped like a stone in the latter part of the season, we did the opposite, wouldn't have to move home etc

Mate id be happy if they just put out an update saying harrison wont be returning so the jokes will stop. Do get ya though, almost a lose lose situation no matter what they do.

I do think near enough everyone will be satisfied when the window shuts. More confident this window than any i can ever remember but do know everton has a way of killing ya hope quickly

Just wonder if the rumours of City wanting £40million for him would put us off. We’ve plenty of other areas need strengthening. McAtee at £25mill is probably a different proposition to him at £40mill.
