Same every summer mate.

I was cry arsing with the best of them, and in a very clear minority the last few seasons - including prior the 2 seasons we went to the last home game of the season to stay up.

People then were either saying we'd improved the squad enough/no point losing head. But the reality always was we hadn't recruited the players to score goals to keep us away from trouble.

I get it, people want a few months off from the doom/gloom misery arses.

But anyone looking at our squad now and thinking it's not so bad/we only need 1-3 etc are well off.

All that said, the difference with recent summers is at some point, needs must will kick in and we'll either overpay, or move down the list to more pragmatic names. The signings will come, because they have to - we don't have a suitably sized squad.

I agree fully with this. We must not overpay though. You could say pragmatism comes at its own price, but relatively speaking that's one I would pay. We are talking at levels to ensure we have a sufficient 22 man squad at the end of the day.

If they were looking to make another 2 or 3 full signings and have been rebuffed / can't afford them, then surely there must be another 5 or 6 players in the mix who are both willing, good enough to improve us, and affordable. You couldn't say in a global market with data analytics that there are not. The loans will come as well.

The goal is to improve and that should be eminently achievable. It's why I think the signings will come too, but some concern is justified.

The squad don’t conduct any transfer business. The manager may get involved, but I’m sure he’ll take a telephonic device with him.

Read my posts properly before you make smart arsed comments. I've quite clearly stated I think stuff can be done. I just don't expect anything official will be reported, and it an opinion not fact

I think we will get players in but as a lot of people are saying it going to be late in the window.....this is what I didn't want to happen as I fear it will be another slow start and the perennial chase for points once the squad is settled. I'd love to be proven wrong.

I'd say there's a chance that it's more the teams outside England can't afford City's asking price

The way I see it, you can call out the excessive misery/repetition, as well as the snide, antagonistic style of posting - but not sure arguing the core of the actual concern is the way to go.

Because as I say, I think the people doing that are 1 week away from losing their cool - all a matter of time.

Probably but I think there's a chance this is a lad who is heavily rated by both Moyes and the recruitment team.

This one seems weird to me. Predominantly a LW and his contribution rate for Atletico isn't that impressive.

We'll make signings to give us the sized squad we need and we'll finish between 7th-12th.

I loved Landon Donovan - guts, heart, no little ability - but the current generation seem lacking. I'm sure Americans on here will correct me if I'm wrong.
