The biggest annoyance that will come from me is if we're going into August throwing points away like we seem to do most seasons and proceed to play catch up.

If we do this you can kiss any sort proper season goodbye.

But us losing our head won't move the dial,also if we're aware of the complete lack of signings you can be sure Moyes,Kinnear and Hammond are hyper aware.

Same every summer mate.

I was cry arsing with the best of them, and in a very clear minority the last few seasons - including prior the 2 seasons we went to the last home game of the season to stay up.

People then were either saying we'd improved the squad enough/no point losing head. But the reality always was we hadn't recruited the players to score goals to keep us away from trouble.

I get it, people want a few months off from the doom/gloom misery arses.

But anyone looking at our squad now and thinking it's not so bad/we only need 1-3 etc are well off.

All that said, the difference with recent summers is at some point, needs must will kick in and we'll either overpay, or move down the list to more pragmatic names. The signings will come, because they have to - we don't have a suitably sized squad.

I get it mate, but equally there's a few who are making out like there's no concern at all.

I think we need to stop making excuses as a fan base.

Sure, we don't need to panic just yet, but we should all understand concern.

Concerns is one thing and is justified to an extent but, the constant posts about Dithering Dave, bringing Harrison and Doucs/Young back, losing the first 5 games etc.... it just adds to the negativity.

If you got a big spot on your nose you don't want everyone telling you all the time ten times a day

Concerns is one thing and is justified to an extent but, the constant posts about Dithering Dave, bringing Harrison and Doucs/Young back, losing the first 5 games etc.... it just adds to the negativity.

If you got a big spot on your nose you don't want everyone telling all the time ten times a day

Nor do you want people telling you the spot isnt that bad ten times a day.

The way I see it, you can call out the excessive misery/repetition, as well as the snide, antagonistic style of posting - but not sure arguing the core of the actual concern is the way to go.

Because as I say, I think the people doing that are 1 week away from losing their cool - all a matter of time.

Managing expectations I wouldn't expect a lot of activity today on the transfer front if the squad are travelling to US. Not saying stuff can't be done in the background but that'll be the focus so don't see anything breaking.

Also some of the journos will be making their way over there so could be a lot of fluff pieces, rehashing of old stuff and giving the actual tour itself some PR for the next few days.

Let's hope not. I don't watch much La Liga at all, but my mate who does- who is also a blue - thinks he's not very good at all.

He's generally quite good with his assessments on players.

They probably haven’t done a headcount yet as all the players have only just came back.

Probably don’t realise how small the squad is.

Its a bit trickier than that as they can only count the senior heads but in doing that must ignore at least 3 players with Premier League experience, one of whom is our most experienced player, Oh and include a new fella who is younger than two of those that we are not counting. It all makes sense really

Probably more to do with us being a premier league team for the past 30 years I would have thought. Especially since every player we sign is apparently a league 1 player

We very nearly got relegated twice in the last five years. And during Moyes's first time our net spend was lowest in the PL which usually means bad things.

So we are not a PL team because of the great leadership.

The squad don’t conduct any transfer business. The manager may get involved, but I’m sure he’ll take a telephonic device with him.
