Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Brentford have sold their best player this window and Wissa is also rumoured to go.

Bournemouth have sold two of their best players this window

Wolves sold their two best players this window

Brighton have sold their best striker this window

Forest are trying to hang onto their best player and have already sold their top winger.

Meanwhile we gave Branthwaite a new contract and haven’t sold any of our top players.

I also can’t remember too many of those teams buying in great replacements for the players they’ve sold or anyone close to the outlay we spent on Barry.
Keggers you beauty.

I can see there being quite a few poor teams in the PL this season. I can also see us being one of them, unfortunately. The more weakened teams the better, however, and maybe we'll suddenly spring to life in the transfer market.

Based on Everton rumours you’d think there are only about 5 players we can sign.

The actual pool of eligible players will be in the hundreds if not more.

We should follow Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth, Forest, Wolves etc. and widen our net beyond Manchester City’s reserves.
You are assuming the gossip, and the stuff posted on here, is accurate. No one outside the clubs recruitment team actually know the facts, its all just guesswork. Yes we are supposed to have spoken to McAtee, and possibly others, but who knows?

….i expect they’ll quickly reach an agreement with whoever McAtee chooses, City won’t want the window to close without recouping some monies on him.
City by and large don't try to screw over their academy products as well but try to facilitate them getting the move they want. Mcatee will end up where he wants as he's very well liked inside the club.

I think we`ll get enough players in to field a really good starting XI, but we`ll deffo be short of bodies when injuries take their toll. I`m happy enough with that rather than having a load of players come in over the first window only to find out there`s a few wrong uns brought in and we get stuck with them for 4 or 5 years. I think we should be just about in the top half if we can at least continue on from where we left off last season.

I counted 16 senior players because Tyrer, Armstrong, Iroegbunam and Chermiti are not senior players. To be honest I’m reluctant to count Coleman seeing as he can’t actually physically play football.
I think he proved his point to be honest, Iroegbunam and Chermiti were senior players last season, Armstrong looks well capable and Tyrer as 3rd choice goalkeeper.
Would any of us be happy with this being the final squad? Of course not, but its not as bad as some are making out. I think we will bring in 5 more players. 2 purchases RW and CM potential starters and 3 loans (maybe a free) close to the deadline for squad depth.

I honestly can't judge where we will be next season until we've completed our transfer business. We obviously need several more players in positions all across the park and we will sign players, I just worry who they will be. Personally, I think top half is very optimistic, I hope we'll be comfortably in the 11th to 14th slots all season and that we're never seriously involved at the bottom. That would allow us to make sensible progress again next year.
