How many of these teams needed to sign up to eight players this summer?

Thanks for sharing.

My username is a variation of a nickname I once had, ending with the number of variations of products that Heinz claim to have.

Interestingly, they actually had more than 60 products on offer at the time they used that slogan.

If you know your beans history and all that.
Yes I remember the Heinz adverts even on billboards before TV as well.
Mongrel dogs were often referred to as a Heinz 57.

Yes, same conversation... 2 weeks till season start... 1 week... 2 weeks till end of the window........ window is closed but we can still sign free agents.

Hahahahaha as inevitable as Buble at Christmas. Always a surefire sign that our window has been a resounding success, when the free agents list gets posted on here on the 2nd September.

You could be forgiven for not realising the season doesn't start for another 4 weeks
Fine if you are happy not being competitive for the first month or two of the season because huge swathes of the squad need to be brought up to fitness and integrated, especially those from overseas.

Why do we bother with a preseason at all if the squad can just rock up on day one of the season and be competitive?

Squad is smaller but overall quality of the squad is exactly the same. Everyone that left was wank for us.
Players who have left played in a total of almost 200 matches. Wank or not, who plays those games now? Young played tons at both flanks. Who plays LB if Mykolenko gets injured again? Who plays RW? And who is the sub for that position?
