If we are serious about Eurooe, and yes our squad doesn't even get close to competing at present granted, maybe at some point, not necessarily this window we dangle the carrot of 'we qualify for Europe or you can leave on an agreed fee to potential signings. This may even be the only way if the Data Analytics are saying sign player xyz rather than the ones signing for say Brentford, Brighton, Sunderland,Leeds etc until we improve our rep somewhat.

Stepping stone recruitment - exactly what Forest settled on after throwing money left right and centre as soon as they got promoted.

There's a lot to be said for it - although when it comes to actually selling the players two years down the line, there are several on here who will need to adjust expectations.

I think by the time each summer rolls around that I forget how mental it gets on here during the off season. Unless it’s just multiplied more than usual given how many players we lost (got rid of) from last season.

Think when we were skint under last few seasons of Moshiri we expected nothing.

Now with new owners, expectation as risen and so has the frustration

A reasonable too and fro on the pace of our summer business today with the bed wetter and zen camps formed

After the past 4 years - deadline day escapes, poor poor football, points deductions, near miss takeovers that would have sunk us and the lowest point of all with the fan base being thrown under the bus by kenwright and co before Southampton - I’ve decided to really enjoy Everton this year come what may. New stadium, new players (eventually), Moyes building that fan - player connection again and new owners clearly building for the future. I’m putting my trust in them and getting the excitement back.

It mightn’t happen as quick as we’d like but it will definitely happen
