Further along than us due to their season starting earlier and some will raise their game as we are a premier league club I suppose.

Probably more chance of their back ups and kids getting into their team too.

So far, from our midfielders, Gueye and Armstrong definitely the most impressive.

For those saying that Blackburn were a couple of games in front of us, they played their entire reserve team in the second half.

I guess the first two months of the season will be about fitness and not results, too, getting all the end-of-window signings up to speed when they should have been brought in two months earlier.

Watched the match. None of it is concerning. For clubs like Blackburn, it’s a good test for them and they seem to put in better effort. I felt like our strikers and midfield were playing 1/2 to 3/4 pace. The main goal for us is to work up to 90’ fitness, not get injured as a starter, and to test out the young lads. So today was mission accomplished.

I think watching this, it is very apparent that apart from Armstrong none of the other young lads are anywhere near the 1st team.

I like the fact that he seems capable of turning with the ball and has a desire to carry it forward.

and they are also a couple of games fitness wise ahead of all our second half reserves. The ones who ended the game for us ....branths, myko... are probable certain starters and O'Brien and Garner are possibles

It was fine, shape was decent but, as usual, we lacked a bit of quality in attack.
