Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Thanks for asking Pete. Been a busy old week with District Nurse and Occupational therapy visits.

Carer just let me know she knocked mums arm whilst dressing her and wound is bleeding again.

Next week meeting with GP to discuss mums dementia.

Last night again she got out of bed at 9pm and was insistent that it was 9am as she got dressed. Fortunately caught her before she took meds for the following day.

No idea what the future holds but obviously it's only going to get worse.

Anyway just have to be grateful for all the good things that we can still enjoy.

Cleaner coming today , well she cleans for an hour and sits with mum for 2 hours and they have a chimps tea party. Got them pizza , muffins and a strawberry cheesecake, mum loves all that and then complains that she's eaten too much 😂.

Very , very humid here today and thunderstorms are forecast. Suspect that I won't see much cricket ( but I could be busy behind the bar!).

Have a lovely day everyone.
So sorry to hear about Granny, wish there was more I could say and do other than send my thoughts and best wishes.💙

Sorry to hear about Granny but love the tea party! I hope you realise what a lovely son you are x

Good morning all. It has just started raining here - we have thunderstorms forecast in the next hour but every time there's a warning we seem to miss them!
Mr F is improving- his leg is so much better and I'm keeping him on track ( aka nagging 🤣) with his medications.
We've got Frankie today and Chris is visiting while his other half is on a hen weekend. I've got all my favourite boys in the house!
We are currently watching the Lions and hope to find a,stream for the Everton match later.I might even pay for it.
Have a lovely weekend all x

Sorry to hear mum seems to be deteriorating, it will be hard for you to cope with for sure. Hope you enjoy the cricket - it’s so humid here but no sign of rain or thunder as yet

I can only say my stream was perfect all through the game last time so if anything would put you off it could be that ! It was only streamed in Holland other than the team site . I did hear you are a master/mistress at double dutch from a friend !

Evening everyone, after rain for most of the day it has now cleared up to a lovely evening. I heard the church bells ringing this afternoon so assume there must have been a wedding. I felt so sorry for the bride and groom after so many weeks without rain to pick the first afternoon when it was bucketing down.
I love the sound of church bells. There's a church near me, and when they start ringing on a lazy summer evening it takes me back to when I was Miss Marple solving murders, or was that when I was with Scooby Doo, anyway, love 'em.

Evening all, a nice evening here with the odd little shower but 23 degrees just after tea so still v humid. Missed most of the friendly as was having my toes done ready for tomorrow which will be a v happy and exciting day as our little granddaughter is christened. I have zero religious leanings but my daughter in law and her family are good churchgoing catholics. Josh was christened C of E because I think it’s easier to opt out of religion than opt in so he has had to jump through various hoops and promise stuff to marry his wife including bringing up Cicely as a catholic. Anyway I enjoy a good hymn so we’re going for the full mass in the morning and then the christening is at 12. I hope the weather is kind to us🤞.
Have a great Sunday if you can 💙

I live close to our church and the bells ring at 12 and 6 everyday. Never for weddings but always before a funeral.

I have had many days working at home when it’s stressful and the sound of the bell reminds me to refocus. Go back to the start and read it again and it will make sense this time. If you have faith it’s a brilliant thing.
