Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Still relaxed tbh. Confident with Moyes at the helm. Always found the 'dithering' tag ridiculous tbh, y'know, seeing as he was absolutely second to nobody when it came to his transfer nous. Of all the things you could level at Moyes, having a go at his record in the market is not one of them. That's not to say there weren't mistakes but every manager gets some deals wrong.

Not every single player we show an interest in is neccesarily a goer either btw. I would bet good money there's been a lot of approaches that have ended with the player having zero interest in a move to England/Merseyside/Everton (take your pick.)

Then there's agents to deal with, people who won't always give you an honest and/or quick answer. I've listened to Gary Neville talk about what goes on in the window."I don't mind if an agent says to me, 'I've got that club, that club and that club [interested], or it's between your two. Whatever they tell me, I've no problem with, as long as it's straight," Neville says. "I just want straight talk." "It's when I feel like they're using our offer to play it around the market. I can't deal with it."

Nobody is questioning his choices, we’re merely criticising the procrastination. We all know that he needs to bring in at least 6 players to make up a squad and I’m sure many have been identified. Why haven’t they been brought in?

I'm fully aware of his record at West Ham. Did alright imo. Anyway, why would I ask them blerts their opinion on anything? Y'know, seeing as I watched 11 years of him here, and they're the biggest idiot fanbase in the country. But go on enlighten me...

All the good signings were made by the DoF and all the rubbish ones were Moyes

Something like that, yeah?

What do you think happens mate, there is a heap of players waiting by their phones waiting for us to call and say ok we're ready to bring you in now.

Procrastination? Do you think the recruitment team come in and say - we could work on transfers today or we could just head out and get some coffee this morning.

We brought is a new player on Tuesday and one the week before - there is no procrastination, nor reason to be stressed.

Honestly what do you believe happens - genuine question?
