Definitely should have gotten a right back my now. Right winger is the most important position. Getting one who could get close to 10 goals would be massive. Another quality centre mid is vital too

We have spent not far off £50m already but doesn’t feel like that. Probably cause Alcaraz was already here last year

Remember that season under Martinez when he had half of Wigan's FA cup winning signed up for Martinez before he walked in the door?

We used to move like that
No we didn’t. Most seasons we were scrambling on deadline day to try and get some players in. Always saying we need to bring in 3 or 4 on deadline day and it’d end up 1 or 2 coming through the door

@davek is right

There was the summer we got the CL and tied up a load of deals for Moyes.

And the Jagielka Baines year too.

I think @davek was right about these Friedkin's. Kenwright was better.

Kenwright's BS claim to efficiency was that if you put him in a room with a player and his agent then the only outcome is that an Everton player emerges from that room.

TFG boast is that they've assembled a team of "exceptional operators" to oversee transfer business.

Same 💩 different different day.

Along with a new striker this was top of the list.

You know what's going to happen now though: O'Brien is like having a new RB.

I am not at panic mode yet and i do think we will have more incomings but it would have been better to have more than 1 new player for pre season. Hopefully there will be an influx over the next couple of weeks.

I’d of expected another 1 or 2 in by now, again right back has needed addressing for so long, alcaraz on a permanent for relatively cheap that was good business travers in good and Barry again good so if we’re slow but making the right signings I will be happy, if we end up going with Coleman and Patterson as RB well that’s poor let’s just see what the next 2 weeks bring I would expect to see another 1 or 2 by then if not probably be flapping a bit as I think we may start rushing signings near the end of the window.

Agents are waiting to the last minute to brass off their clients to desperate clubs, doing things last minute up's the hype pressure, and suddenly clubs are making deals above where they wanted. It's a brinksmanship aspect of the game, and players are happy to see out contracts and play the waiting game if they have no real care about where they end up, just how much they get paid. There's been a load of chuckles that released players haven't been snapped up yet, but they'll end up with deals, a month to six weeks unpaid gets covered by a significant sign on bonus.
