If the moneys right he’d be a great short term signing but why would West Ham sell him on the cheap?

He would be first team up until the moment Moyes left, which will be some time in the next 2 years, and then we’d be left with a 32 year old on £100k a week who’s surplus to requirements with probably another 2 years left on his contract. Let’s not start this cycle again imo.

In my opinion Soucek is miles better than Doucs. That said , I am not sure he is the kind of profile that we should be looking at.

I think he's a bit better but at the same time not someone I'd like to be signing unless it's on a free.

12m is what we paid for Alcaraz on a 2 yr deal with an option. Why would we sign Soucek on a 4 yr deal? Shorter deals with options seems popular now.
