Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

We never seem to have much luck signing players from the Portuguese league. Mugged off more times than I’ve had hot dinners!
So true that

Luis Diaz
Manny Fernandes
Moutinho
Banega
Brahimi
Veloso
Fernando
William Carvalho

At least we managed to get Francisco Jr over the line

Edit: Banega was in Spain, apparently he's never played in Portugal even though he's the most Benfica coded player in history

Well, the 2 seconds I was excited, were at least that

I think Porto are massively (and rightly) annoyed with Juve so he may not get his wish. The deal was fully agreed last year but now Juve are saying “we think he’s not worth that so you’ll take less and like it”. Juve have big problems until they talk Man U into taking Vlahovic.

Agree Bakayoko could’ve been ideal, always a long shot at that price.

thinking back to Moyes comments back at the end of the season about wanting future international players, I reckon we’ll be looking closer to home for purchases. Just my reading of his comments. Definitely potential risks with all the players mentioned but also upsides. I also don’t think fellows is as limited or as slow as has been suggested.

Aside from bakayoko, do you have players in mind you’d want to see on wing?
If I release my grasp on reality for a moment, Mbeumo or Neto would be great!

Bring me left footed, right sided Ndiaye.

If I didn't have a job and family, I'd Zat my way through every YouTube vid from obscure leagues around Europe to find the u23 diamond in the rough we all crave.

Therefore I just look into who gets mentioned here. Time to look up Francisco Conceicao and see if he fits the bill....
