He's going to RB Leipzig mate.

Why are we perusing a player(Luiz) who does not want to come to usI. I hope it’s not so the club can say we tried to sign player x, y, Z, when in reality they were never coming to Everton!
Until you hear the player saying he doesn’t want to come to Everton, literally, then don’t believe it.
There’s not an a’pennysworth of fact in any of these rumours so it’s highly, highly unlikely that Luiz, or any other player we’re linked with, has slammed the door shut. They keep their options open till the very last minute before they put pen to paper somewhere.

Do other clubs suffer from as many nonsense rumours as us?

Just been watching the Netflix series La Liga – definitely worth a watch, to be fair. Tonight’s episode focused on Real Sociedad and Athletic Club, with a lot of attention on Kubo. He really does look a player.

I hadn’t realised that Athletic Bilbao only select players from the Basque region – no exceptions – while Sociedad aim for around 60% local players and 40% from elsewhere. The Sociedad president was clear that they want to keep Kubo long-term, saying it’s vital to hold on to their stars if they’re to keep progressing.

That said, Kubo did admit at the end that he couldn’t commit to staying forever – and if a big offer came in, he’d probably move on. All things considered, I think it would be a very tough deal to pull off. Having already sold Zubimendi to Arsenal, they’re not under pressure to sell – and letting go of another key player would be hugely unpopular with the fans.

There’s also the 50% sell-on clause to Real Madrid and the fact that Kubo still has a long contract. But… I don’t often have much faith in Everton, yet I really think he’s the one we want. We’ve already brought in a few Japanese players for the women’s team, and don’t forget Dan Friedkin owns Gulf States Toyota – so this could be a strategic signing on several fronts.

Kubo and Ndiaye together would be dynamite. 💥

Personally think we should go 343.

Branthwaite LCB, tarks CB, JOB RCB

Ndaiye LW, Gana, Garner, Speedy RW

Beto, Barry, Chermiti (but all playing within the width of the 18 yard box).

Just bombard their box with 3 giant strikers. While defending our box with 3 giant defenders.
Dunno who's fans would be happier about this; the 19 teams we have to play twice, or Derby County's, because we'd defo break their record for lowest points tally

When are we announcing Josh Brownhill?

I'm inclined to think that guys like him and Hackney are more likely, when it comes down to final decision time. Will know soon enough.

I’m thinking of the right wing slot as a package deal mate, think there will be two.

Fellows wouldn’t be my Alpha, if he comes I’d want it to be back up/developmental project to another - probably Kubo who is being offered around the market.

If Doak comes, I think hel come with Harrison.
