Tottenham are really splashing out money to avoid a repeat of last season. Come on Everton. One more biggish signing to keep us away from the bottom half.

I stated 'if' he had said it...

In turn though - its possible that Wolves, Bournemouth, Brentford, Forest and even Brighton may be weaker going into next season having lost/about to lose some big players for them already..

They have plenty though to replace those players that have left, more than us by the looks of it. Still waiting for that big statement signing...July 10th and only one arrival is worrying. No real links to anybody, and our inability to negotiate and get things done quickly.

I think, in the grand scheme of things, Alcaraz & Barry were sorted quite quickly though? we also dont need a 'statement signing' as much as people like to parrot that particular phrase..

I do generally agree though that we really need to keep the pace up..
