We had 1 left back, 1 striker plus Chermiti, 0 functional right backs and 0 right wingers. In an ideal world we'd replace them all but we can't fix everything in one go, it's impossible, so priority decisions needed to be made. Barry looks like a good start to our spending.

This summer is an anomaly…created by the mismanagement of the club and created a situation where you need half a squad.

However going forward you’d think the club in future would have normal summers where you can pin point 2-3 positions rather than the 10-12 we need.

Think it was a blue tick beside your name you could pay for to make sure you weren’t Azul. Apparently the whole of twitter turned out to be Azul and one other person.

And? No club has a team full of 18-year olds who all are likely to make it in PL. Still they need players just to make up numbers. And quite a few are sold for a few million to lower leagues.
