Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Decent enough at it and his assist (and goal) numbers don't lie. I know he also takes free kicks and all that but at this point are we going to ignore a goal threat?
Similar to McNeil, his fans on here throw out his assist and creating chances stats when he basically took every set piece for 2.5 years played Under a manager who was only interested in set pieces.

JB wasn't signing his 5 year deal without some solid assurances beyond him beimg personally happy to have had the chance to shine in the 1st team. Far roo logical reasoning I know and nothing on paper yet to back up the logic either. It's slow for sure but I sense it won't remain that way for long now
Sometimes we like to kid ourselves, be real he signed for the same reason most players do, massive increase in wages with possibly a release clause. It was either that or stay on same wages for next three years.

Not sure in this case. He could have put in a transfer request, has no release clause, we are in no position to throw him into the kids teams and diminish his value. Would have been incredibly easy for him to force a move this summer.

Think it’s more a combination of the massive pay rise as you say, but also a rare dose of sanity from a young player knowing that he is still far too young and inexperienced to go and sit on Madrid’s bench or destroy his life by going to United. Very sensible decision by him and his family and great for us.

I mean no one's asking for 5-6, just one.

We can negotiate things before july 1st and then sign there, as teams around us do.

I get you want to say it's different, but it's really exactly the same so far.
We did start negotiating for Barry pre July. Joyce ran a story that we were in for him on June 13 and it was the 7th June when Matteo Moretto mentioned it as well.

Not forgetting that we were trying to sign Tete in June as well.

didnt know much about him, just watched a youtube vid now I fully want him ha
Does look great fun to watch. But also like a player I’d kick all over the pitch until he got taken off after 60mins. Need to be exceptionally good with the ball in the PL with that frame. Don’t know enough about him to know if he is?

I’d still have him just to put smiles on faces. But it does not solve our never ending search for frightening, blistering outright pace. That will bite us yet again if we don’t finally prioritise it.

Lack of goals will bite us first and foremost. Can Kubo score? If they think yes, then he addresses an issue, pace or not

Pace for the sake of pace is useless, pace with end product usually runs high a lot of money as they all get hoovered up

The only minor issue with Mcatee is pace. He travels with the ball lurvely but is similar to N'diaye in that he's not that rapid, which won't help us considering Moyes predominantly wants to play on the counter.

This would be remedied by having quick full backs. But not seeing us linked with much of that profile.

Now him as our ten and also signing a quick right winger. Then your REALLY cooking

this is what I'm hoping for

if we wanted to reall go for it, play Alcaraz alongside Gana in certain games. McAtee at 10, and some rapid winger like Kubo or Doak or whoever they fancy
