Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

True, fella. I was impressed by him for the u21s under Carsley, though? It seems he's given more influence. That said, u21s is not PL..

TBF to the lad it was his first year in the PL and he prob grew into it a bit more as the season went on mate, i just felt myself hed have to be at a 10 rating most weeks and be influencing games more consistently to be a top PL player given his size, felt the size of the league gobbled him up a bit and he was a bit too easy to manage.

We will have to at the release clause eventually, or someone else will.

Utterly pointless haggling.
Wastes everybody’s time, makes us look small time.

But at least we tried….

He's a London boy. Depending on who Palace alllow to leave eg Eze and if Westham splash their Kudus cash, he is more likely to go to one of them imo. Even Brentford a possibility if one of their big guns leaves. Not quite good enough for London's big 3 yet but think he will stay down South.

We'll have to go our separate ways on this one mate.
Benard is 3 inches shorter and over ten pounds lighter so there's a significant difference in stature also it just looks Kubo isnt flimsy when he plays, even with his finesse he is a direct and physical player from the material I've watched, also does not look sluggish at all

Well given that Ipswich have been relegated since May and no one has paid it yet, maybe no one wants to pay his £35m release clause? Just because a player has a release doesn't mean you have to match it.

Kubo's release is £51.7m but we aren't going to be paying that either.

Kubo is too slow for his small size to survive in this league sadly, it would be Bernard all over again. Learn from the past, buy pace.
That's what I thought.... Prem fullbacks would kick the bejeezus out of him and PL refs would give him no protection at all if he played for us. Got to get faster and bigger than him, I'd say.

A few will know about Kubo joining Real Madrid, but he was actually at La Masia at one point until FIFA banned Barca from signing youth players. Kubo was heartbroken.

He'll fully understand the club when they tell him about Steaua Bucuresti, then!
