2024/25 Jack Harrison

signing Harrison, is like when you were a kid and thought Rhyl was a good place to go on holiday and thats what seasides should be like, but then realising there is a big world out there, like Japan šŸ‘

if you know what I mean šŸ˜‰

Emery and Villa could sign him now for buttons if they really want him.

They've spent nearly half a billion under Emery and actually have a squad.

See, if we could spend half a billion, we wouldn't want him either.

But like when they signed Ross Barkley, for the right fee - a circumstance/player can fit a squad filler role.

Like it or not though, if we signed the Japanese chap, wel all be like great, Dude comes in and tips the balance in vital games against teams with the same budget.

Then we play City or Chelsea and we have 200 mill in their signings coming at Seamus Coleman, Nathan Patterson or a Kenny Tete type down the right flank, knowing Moyes he will want a winger who is going to come back to make a back 5 or 6 under the Kosh to support the fullback and at times play in a hybrid fullback/winger role, that's were Harrison becomes a live opinion as part of sum of package of signings.

The popular opinion will be no in isolation, but Davey will want the above i think - whether it be Harrison or someone else of that Type for that kind of role in my opinion.

In short Davey likes a good day out Rhyl.

Or maybe to reframe it, build on top of what's already been there and you value.
If Harrison comes back - and there is nothing credible to say he will - then Moyes will be toast come the inevitable downturn. It's a risk that I don't think he can afford to take having handed deals to Coleman and Keane - especially if we do not actually have a very successful and impactful window elsewhere in the side.

Coleman, Keane, and Harrison - if it happens - is a ticking time bomb. We really will need to make a serious splash for the rest of the window to mitigate that inevitable explosion.
