2024/25 Jack Harrison

I understand why the official site doesn’t comment on every rumoured signing, but I will never understand why they don’t issue a statement where we absolutely aren’t interested in a player? Officially calling them out as jarg would hopefully stop the dodgy agents and phoney itk’s from mentioning us, and it would definitely help the mental wellbeing of many of our fans!
Reacting to their jarg would just legitimate them.
And who cares about the mental wellbeing of idiots who believe in absolute drivel? Most of them fume about imaginary transfers because they like fuming.

Be open minded on it to be honest.

I can't be open minded to garbage signing for Everton.

I'd be absolutely shocked if Moyes went back in for him and seen him as a viable squad option. Every single stat that a winger should be held accountable to, he is absolutely dreadful at.

There is no fee and no wage that is acceptable for signing this fella on loan again or on a permanent.

Agreed totally with that, Harrison is absolute garbage.

It's just not acceptable to say "oh he'll do a job and it's an extra body" etc. 1 goal, 1 assist in 30 odd games is embarrassing and the amount of times he loses the ball is simply unacceptable.

Let him be Leeds' financial burden again as he shouldn't be on any potential Everton list unless we're short of a translator for Alcaraz who doesn't know how to use his apartment utilities

I suspect its a live option mate, at the end of the season how Moyes used him i thought wed try and keep him, i think he likes him, i think he thinks he can rely on him, i think he likes him in a hybrid defensive role in games and he likes that option and i get the sense he thinks he can improve him.

In reality whether it happens or not I think comes down to the value proposition, there is a possibility of negoating a cut price deal here - so any deal will be based on whether its value for Everton. I dont know whether it will happen or not, but id be surprised if the manager and club didn't consider it. We also have their former CEO and negoating Guru who will know the inside thresholds and opinions at Leeds.

Hes failed here in the main, i know he a better player then hes shown here. Whether we should do it or not the vast majority will say no in isolation.

My own take is to take a very open minded and trusting view of recruitment this summer - the manager and new owners desreve that thus far. Im thinking of recruitment as an overall package and something not to be viewed in isolation on a single transfer or renewal or the merits of just one player. In Harrsions case if he comes in as one of a package of signings - at the managers request on a value deal, then im ok with that.

If he's an option mate, we have very serious problems.

They should be spending time on things that actually matter.

Can do a decent job in a team that plays on the front foot.

Did well for Bielsa, 8 league goals in 30 odd games two seasons on the spin and he'd have signed for Emery/Villa instead of us if he wasn't injured at the time.

For the right fee/buttons - considering our squad depth - if Moyes thinks he can get him to a level he's achieved before backs to the wall Everton, then I wouldn't be against it.

But like renewal offers to Keane, Coleman, Young, Doucoure etc - it's not ideal is it.

Emery and Villa could sign him now for buttons if they really want him.
