To be fair promotion to the PL is worth at least an extra 100m a season in revenue.

It's a signing that doesn't seem to make much sense for anyone involved. Burnley had a great defence last season and Walker won't improve it. They'll go down so it won't enhance his England claims and I doubt that they are paying much in wages. He could have gone to Saudi for the cash.

He's finished with England and he doesn't want to relocate to Saudi so he's just taking an easy last year contract close to home.

The feeling amongst the Burnley supporters was that the lack of experience contributed to their last relegation, Scott Parker is trying to address that "weakness". For my money the reason they were relegated was that they tried to play awful tippy tappy football but did not have the players to do it successfully at Premier League level (see Southampton last season).

Coleman will run through brick walls for our club, he loves us. I expect his influence on the whole squad is part of the reason for the extension. I doubt he will play that much to be fair.
