Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

In quicksand.

Whatever you think of Coleman and his contribution to Everton ( fantastic) . His performances and availability in the last 3 years do not justify a playing contract .

If you also think Harrison merit a contract at Everton on £100k a week there is little hope for you.

I do not approve of Harrison?

I won't go further RE Coleman cause of the can of worms it would open.

Considering Moyes did well with the squad he had last season….

Alcaraz now signed. Full pre-season.

Barry - I’d expect him to outperform what DCL did for us last season

Tagliafico would be a definite upgrade on Young as back up left back. Yes he’s 32 but still getting games for Argentina. World Cup winner.

Gueye is the one we wanted to keep and looks like that’s happening. I can live with Coleman and Keane staying as back ups.

So far, so good. Right back, right winger, centre mid to come.

And that doesn’t even include arguably the best deal we’ve made so far - JB on a 5 year deal!

Love this guy, no nonsense, likes to intercept and play on the front foot. Reads the game well. And a number three... reminds me of me tbh ;)
Well we should sign you. Minimum wage and a subsidy from the government for taking an otherwise basket case...only joking really 😁

It will. He was great for the money and is a 'blue' whatever that is. However, for me, he was always an indication of our financial constraints under Moyes MK1. Better than his fee, 100% every game but quality..sometimes.
Dude, that is an insane take. Coleman was an absolute gun fullback in the premier league for a long time. The fact that we bought him for £60k is just a bonus. He was one of the best right backs in the league year in year out for a long time. He wasn't world class and he didn't have the quality on the ball that Baines did but he had more physicality and if we found a 22 year old Coleman again our problems at right back would be solved.
