Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

It feels like a controversial day.

I wonder have they announced Keane first and let everyone go mental and then will cheer everyone up by announcing Idrissa, thus negating previous expressed ire.

Prentice does it again.

Phil Neville was a much better player than many give him credit for , and certainly better than many we have had since , and still possess. He also brought leadership and covered a number of positions , and certainly made the absolute most of what ability he had. Wouldn't mind a couple like that coming in during this window as we are so short on numbers currently.
The end result was generally better with him playing

Purchases will be at a minimum and mostly in the last week of the window to keep down wages.

Moyes is a master of managing expectation. For all the talk of the necessity for a lot of new faces this will be a typical Everton window. There'll be one promoted from within the club (Armstrong), re-signed players, and maybe three in.

He must have something on someone to still be there?

Must do mate….

TBF nothing PR has come out of the club in terms of confirmation for Keane or Idrissa, even though we know they are done.

Obviously that’s out of respect and reverence for Jota and allowing the proper acknowledgement in the media to his memory.

From a PR perspective it’s a dignified position from PR at the club.

I don’t disagree although I don’t think we have had any positive standards since the 80’s probably. Hibberts best season was 2004/2005 and another one who long outstayed their welcome.

I don’t blame the players for this stuff, good luck to them, I blame the club .
Hard to feel good saying a player with a testimonial outstayed his welcome.
