We got the ball to Beto just fine last season so I think we’ll be ok.
 
This thread has been on the go for 3 weeks, there's 116 pages and 1734 comments, the very first post say's we are intensifying talks, Still not done.. Is it Just Everton that behave like this or do all clubs fanny about and we just don't hear about it.

All clubs do it. 3 weeks didn't used to be a long time at all for this type of thing, it's only since people had access to 24/7 news and updates that these things have started to be seen as being delayed.

Tbh between his u21 involvement, his subsequent jetting off on hols and the very sad events of yesterday have all ikely contributed. Also a small chance Villareal not wanting to do a deal until their own replacement is close too
 
I don't think there's a blind bit of difference with how deals are done. What has changed is every single minute detail is reported, en masse, through social media by what is largely an army of chancers and BS'ers, and a very small minority who may have legitimate sources.

But either way, it just creates this non stop content machine which makes it seem like deals take years. In reality, its always been like that, you just didn't get 1000s of tweets about every tiny step, every other hour.

We even fannied about signing Alcaraz and he has a clause all agreed months prior. For every one player we sign, Chelsea sign eleventy twelve.
