Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Keane is genuinely the worst defender of the ones you mentioned there - and I wouldn't want any of them either. I really think people forget just how much of a liability Keane is. If he wasn't so good at scoring, he wouldn't get away with it.

He is Antolin Alcaraz bad. An absolute catastrophe, who will have one okay game in 5 and people will refer to him as steady. But it’s never that he is a bit off it in the other 4, at least 2 of them will be absolute disaster classes.

Wouldn’t agree with you there mate, be Keane all day long for me and to be honest im surprised he’s accepted the role.

He’s fine, he’s not even 25% as bad as the hyperbole on here in my opinion. Is he Branthwaite - no. Is he capable of coming in and contributing, yes, we’ve seen that with important goals and when JT got injured at the tail end of the season. He’s fine and fine is our aim for that role - while also being a good value proposition.

Moyes did say that though. He's made it clear he is a big Harrison fan.
i have a feeling we will get Harrison. His situation at Leeds makes it unlikely he can play there again and as such they would sell him for virtually pennies. He would go for about 8 million. Although I dont really want him here, he is a bit like Keane in that he is a cheap back up for a season or two.

This project of rebuilding Everton cant be done in one transfer window. People like Keane, Coleman, Harrison and Gueye give us that continuity in the short term so we are not introducing too many changes in one go. I will however be very disappointed if he arrives with the purpose of starting games rather than 10 minute cameos towards the end of match. He very much has to be here as the cheap back up option with a young pacy new player as first choice

He is fine ONLY if he sits in the bench.

For 70k, might as well we get some kid on 20k and makes the same mistakes as he learns.

I think you get Harrison for almost nothing, probably another loan actually.

He will sit on that big contract at Leeds for another 3 years, they’d be mad not to get him if the books for no fee or a loan.

If we wanted him - I’d be sitting on my hand until the end of the window, get him for next to nothing.

He isn't cheap though, he's also on like 80-90k a week wages. Yeah you can't do it all in one window but that's the sort of deal that prevents you doing it in future windows too.

...and then take on the massive contract they are desperate to get rid of. It's just a flat no, no matter what way you spin it.

He's been cheap back up (and he gets my back up) for the last two seasons and now we actually have to pay a fee as well as his 90,000 per week wages, that's No, No and in case you never heard me NO again. He is an awful footballer and we need pace in the position he occupies.
