Confirmed Signing Thierno Barry

He also doesn't claim to be a transfer guru
Then he should make that clear
I think he is making it clear by his vague answers no?
He's making it clear by being vague?
Yes. If he wanted to come across as a transfer guru he'd sound way more definite.
He seems comfortable in a speculative stance which is refreshing because there are wannabe ITKs everywhere this time of year.

I don't get the criticism he gets tbh

Everton’s US marketing partner is based in Miami and Moyes has a holiday home there. It would not be too complex to organise a medical and contract signing for Barry out there without disrupting his or Moyes’ holiday too badly if we really want to expedite things.

….before his injury he hardly played because he didn’t impress. They have to earn game time by showing they can add something. He was ok in pre-season but he’s got a lot to prove.
In a world where a footballer's prowess is illustrated in flattering YouTube segments, his were absolute pony to begin with.

I agree he doesn't deserve the vitriol, I've mentioned this before he does have a tendency to insert himself in the narrative i don't think he's being intentionally opportunistic I think it's more he wants to be perceived as having ties to behind the scenes at Everton. Al tries to flex his Everton cred by trying to appear more privy to info than he really is. It doesn't help that our fanbase will form an intense co dependent relationship to anyone they feel possesses a modicum of transfer details

Few laps of the pool and a night on the Buckfast at Casa Del Moyes and pen would be put to paper

I went down the rabbit hole and watched his highlights last night. One thing that stands out is his ability to head the ball at his age. Also, I think for someone who is 6'5", he has quick feet and good awareness of what's around him, all of which allows him to turn defenders.

He's very raw. What I would say is he has skills that are suited to the Premier League.

Moyes looking like Tony Montana in a cardigan.
