New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I agree, mostly. You're right about the pent-up expectations, and it's good that we as fans still have these high expectations.

But it needs to be harnessed correctly, and it doesn't excuse some of the ludicrous stuff that's coming out of the fan base and has done for a while.

I couldn't give two hoots about the canopy. Yes it may not look great, but in the grand scheme of things it's irrelevant, and the criticism feels crass.

I (as you might expect) disagree it is crass. The problem is with SO many things to look at and evaluate, it can feel like a never-ending wave of negativity, as something might irk one but not another. As we know some will moan at absolutely everything and they might(?!) have an agenda and that's different.

There are some things I don't like, there are some concerns, but I can deal with them as I can see why it might have been done that way or we have no control over (like transportation).

The players tunnel is the first thing where it's flat out poor design and poor execution. Let's hope it's not an indication of the rest of the Everton controlled fit out. It's not the end of the world, it won't stop me loving the stadium as I do. It is note worthy though and should be pointed out.

From the phycology point of view I can see why they have introduced the tunnel, because when players walk out it was too open and the roar as the players walk out would have been spattered and spaced out if you know what I mean, whereas the tunnel when the players walk out and reach the end their will be a huge noise and they are then right into the arena, it would be more intimidating for the away team 😉

Don't think ever saw images of what all these look like before:

It's great that we have so many spaces available to hire out.

There's just an insane amount of hospitality space, isn't there?

More than most UK towns.
Unbelievable amount of quality venues - can’t wait to be looking at future family dos in the new place. Hope they don’t over price them.

Also, cannot wait for the concerts we will put on at BMD.

I had the “pleasure” of being on the kop for the Springsteen and Dua lipa concerts, and everything about the experience, aside from the artists/bands, was just horrendous.

Awful queues to get in, dangerously organised, crap ale inside (apart from Guinness) and the seats are just a disgrace, no space/comfort and knees near end up near your earholes - how anyone can watch a football match there is beyond me. Heard the new Anfield Road end is as bad.

I’ve no issue with us reducing seat numbers if it means we’re not all shoehorned in sitting on each others knees, just to make a few more quid like those lepers have.
