Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I dont buy this Evan Ferguson bad attitude/behaviour that I hear on GOT. The only place I seen these rumours is here.
If they were true the Irish tabloid press would be all over it. He's still pretty much the golden child of Irish football.
I think the main issue if form, he hit a purple patch when very young and is now struggling to live up to the hype. He is still only 20 and is undoubtedly talented and way too young to be written off, I think he will come good but his next move is key.
I would like to take him on loan with an option but I don't think that would be the best option for him as I don't know if he would get enough gametime to turn it around. Would probably be better at one of the promoted clubs where he could potentially be this seasons Delap...

I listened to a pod and it was going on about Liverpool and said. Liverpool want 70mil for Nunez and won’t budge even though Napoli don’t want to pay anywhere near that. But the pod made out that it was some bargain and Liverpool valuation was spot on, like you say, we get told how much are players should be sold for by journalists and the clubs wanting to buy them.

It’s Annoying how much that get for there players, Jordon Ibe 15mil 10yrs ago and he’s now plying for Hungerford lol at 29, god knows what league they’re in

It's just like they have a premium for their players, when you look over the years at the players they've sold, you could count the successes of these players at their next clubs on one hand. Some examples, first yours above Jordan Ibe , Fowler to Leeds, nearly killed Leeds with his wages and fees, got no value for the money at all. Torres cost Chelsea £50m fell apart and hardly scored a goal, Coutinho sold for, I don't know that fee is still rising, North of £150m, Solanke hardly played but made 19m profit to Bournemouth I think. Even Rush at the height of his powers went to Juventus is and couldn't score a goal. When they sell someone it's for a good reason.

To be fair you can’t walk down the street in Dublin without bumping into Connor McGregor I bumped into him at a gym not for the first time a few weeks ago.

Actually saw him in NY a couple of times randomly as well.

Sounds like his stalking you mate

Don’t take a drink off of him lad

A quick perusal of Brighton fan thoughts includes:

“Needs to get his head sorted”

“…the next Duncan Ferguson or…Sarah Ferguson. Your call Evan.”

“…from being smashed at Liverpool…now smashed in Ibiza”

“RDZ was at a loss to why he had stopped working hard in training…”

Their musings on Ferguson have a very Dele Alli feel to them with the talent clear but the concerns over him physically and mentally dominating the narrative. Our attempts to manage Dele through the twin hells of recurring injuries and depression were laudable but they also cost us a fortune and tied up support staff resources. I’d be extremely wary of repeating that experience with Ferguson, despite the lure of his ‘upside’.
