It’s clear our hands are tied because of PSR rules – my understanding is that the Premier league has set the rules so that each financial year for PSR purposes runs from 1st July to 30th June. How utterly ridiculous and again another display of incompetence by Premier league officialdom. They know that seasons end in mid-May so why would you set the PSR financial year as starting from 1st July each year? Why is it not set from 1st June to 31st May?

Six weeks has now has been lost with an inability for a team such as ours to bring in players before 30th June. And it seems we are not alone and that many other teams are in the same boat as there have been so few transfers so far. But the favoured few (RS, Chelsea, City, United), with their bloated incomes which make the competition so unfair anyway, gain another unfair advantage by being able to strengthen their teams early in each summer.

Players are due to return to training next week and start playing preseason friendlies in mid-July. So there's very little time for players to move and get settled with their families. Do the Premier League care about that? Not for a second would they give a toss. It beggars belief that these idiots, who are paid so handsomely for their lame efforts, are in charge of football.

Things are qtarting to swing into gear now. Clubs are starting to move for some good players. Diarra to Sunderland, Diouf looks like he's going to Burnley. Hope we have a plan and are now able to negotiate for multiple players at once, instead of one at a time.
Will be hammond is taking the lead on the talks, we will start hearing more names and see us making moves. Can see moyes wanting some in early for pre season

Clubs can choose their own financial year mate. It doesn’t have to be July - July. It’s not a rule.

Do I understand it correctly that if we push through, say, a £75m sale of Everton Women to ourselves, that frees up the ability to spend £75m additionally on transfers in the current PSR year until 30th June next year, assuming our current position was that we could spend £0? If we were already looking at spending £50m, it'd up that to £125m?

Get them sold ffs, and Goodison. Then buy Finch Farm and sell that too.

Not saying I agree with the prem

But the 6 weeks or whatever it has been would give teams the chance to sell to comply with PSR I’m guessing

Thing is … they’re selling under duress in a way and teams like city , RS etc or the ones in the world club cup can then pick up players cheaper .

See the Brendan Jonson situation …. Can horse the smaller clubs into accepting below market value for players

Richy was sold to comply for example and levy knew this

For what it's worth, the club have updated the squad on the site, and along with including Harry Tyrer as Pickford's backup, they list Keane and Gana despite removing the rest of the out of contract players. I'm sure this is only because they're not confirmed departures like Holgate, and not because they've signed, but it should at least tell you that neither one has said no.
