Perhaps telling he's said it was a family decision.

Sounded like he was keen to stay not so long ago "who wouldn't want to be part of this..."

Be interesting to see where he goes, and how he does.
I wish him no ill will, but I'm also not at all bothered he's leaving.

If he stays we have a player who will not want to be second choice and will want paid as a starting forward, but whose reliability and output mean he should be second choice.

Best for all concerned.

Finally! I always thought of him as more an athlete than footballer and as his athletic abilities have waned then so has his overall impact on the pitch.

Best for both parties and hopefully will open a few doors for us to replace by freeing up his salary to spend on someone else, or others.

Good luck Dom at what ever league/club you end up at but ultimately he's now an ex-evertonian who will be quickly forgotten in a few years me thinks.

This is a genuine (not sarcastic) question. What are those strengths? And what are his weaknesses? (FWIW I think bedding ability is good but that depends on good wingers)
Not pinging 90 yarders to his head with no support. Carlo sussed it - stay in the box, get some decent crosses and he’s sound. It astounds me that people cannot see it.

People could see it - but people also see when he is in the box he misses one-on-ones like clockwork. While he had an aerial presence in the box, the truth is his finishing, in general, is reliably poor. You expect him to miss the one-on-one, which is an unsustainable issue for a striker. Add to this his regular unavailability and, well, it was never going to work out.
