Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Liverpool will win it but I’ve got a feeling the league will want to at least engineer a bit of a title race next season. City are the only team remotely capable of challenging and being taken seriously.

I cant see it tbh.

Got a real feeling that liverpool will drop off this season. Think slots going to do what Martinez did in his second season at us. Judging by the players there getting looks like they might be moving away from the formula that made them good last season.

Also Salah had 50 goal involvement in the league last season. Hes not doing that again and vvd is done imo.

I agree with this when I look at the over financed disgrace that is MUFC.

BUT... Strangely the absolutely disgraceful mediocrity of well moneyed clubs like them, Spurs, City last year is not everything, and conversely creates the opportunity others need.

The way Brighton, Brentford ( who I think might unfortunately struggle next season ), Bournemouth and others have competed is an example of the opportunity that still exists.

'Bigger ' clubs that back that up with 50-60k fans weekly ( which will be us, and has been villa, bar codes, even Spurs etc), can then really press for top 5.

It's just we had BK and Mosh whilst those clubs flourished, in spells. And we still got a stadium out of it.

I don't like the reds, but do recognize they've spent well and show what can be done up and down the table with good ownership/ mgt. As we did under Moyes 1.0.

We'll feel good when we're back amongst the top 8-10 in a season or two looking for a Europe berth... It's worth it people!
I agree with the sentiment but really in what way have they competed as a positive?

If they do well, their players are being cherry picked, Brighton lost theirs last year? Bournemouth and brentford are losing all theirs , they are losing their managers etc. All that money then can't be reinvested in the project because they are having their soul ripped out the minute it comes good.

I have always wanted us to build something over time and we are finally in a position to be able to do that, invest rather than buy. I just worry in this climate now that it won't amount to anything more than one good season. these last 12 months for me have killed the league , any team daring to leave and achieve are ripped back down in an instant.

Sorry, I genuinely though I was in another thread - hence my post.

Anyway, ack to signing Woltemade.....
This is the transfer thread.

No apologies! Double down on whatever obvious error you made in order to save face and insult the person who slighted you (bonus points if it wasn't even a slight and just a polite honest question about your orignal comment) and let the feud begin.

Until the new season starts or players start leaving and joining, we have no other entertainment.

Not to be a negative nelly but wonder who the back up is if we can't get Barry?

Having watched bits of the U21's we surely have no shot at Woltemade. I'd have thought Bayern plus numerous CL teams will be all over him. He looks special like. The technique with that physique is quite unique.
It's a perfectly reasonable question.

I have been thinking about this. What is vis current value? He is not a ready starter for the teams that hoover up young players but too good to go on loan?
you'd think the german clubs would be all over him

This is my ONLY source of entertainment.
