Confirmed Signing Thierno Barry

Clear player of the tournament though

Barry has been ok, he gets on the end of things and wants to make runs

On another day….

This context is needed for a few of our lot only tuning in for the first time tonight. Woltemade has stood out like a sore thumb - in before quite literally! Barry has been given just one start. Ironically, France scored 4 in that game v Poland and his all-round game was very good. Djaoui Cisse got the plaudits, but you could certainly see a player in Barry. He hit the post, was kicked to bits and really brought Cisse into the game. Shades of Saha and Cahill on a good day is what's coming to mind.. Maybe because there was minimal DCL and Doucoure days

I’ll be honest and say I wasn’t impressed with him tonight, but I’m not going to judge him on 45 minutes of football. He does look like he’ll be a longer term project which is fine, if he’s the one they really want then hopefully it gets done but we negotiate a deal we’re properly happy with.

It’s difficult judging players in international football even at u21 level. History it littered with excellent footballers at club level who didn’t perform at international level.

I love how people are condemning a player's past and future career because of one under 21 international tournament game 😂 remember Kieran dowell? He had some marvelous performances with the England under 21s it have a positive impact on his club career
