Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Also the fact he first started getting linked during the whole Benitez debacle so Everton supporters have a tendency to forever attach negative connotations to another aspect even if there was just a broad association. So when the possibility of long staff comes they just think Benitez trying to foist an unexciting Newcastle product on us and they become livid
I think that’s entirely fair. The fat plank should never have been here. We’ve scrubbed his greasy paw prints off the Finch Farm vending machine so there’s no need to remind anyone he was ever oozing through the gaff.

He's universally hated this fella

Summed up eloquently by this disgruntled bluenose a couple of years ago. Crooks is a wham chatting maggot.

Here is the mighty journalistic power of Alex Crooks just 4 weeks ago, bearing in mind they’ve sold nobody and just bought Cunha for 60m and are bidding another 60m for Mbeumo.

I mean, he doesn’t even have the slightest idea about the team he supposedly supports ffs.

Do you know what, I thought that too - then I saw them a few times this season and he was fantastic every time. Granted it was the Championship, but there’s a reason Gnonto was on the bench - Solomon on the left and James on the right were just in such great form. James has been in and out of sides for years and he really looks to have benefitted from a bit of consistency. He wouldn’t be a glamorous signing - and I can’t see Leeds letting him go for a reasonable fee so it’s probably a non-starter - but it could actually work funnily enough.

Maybe we can put together a Championship All Star squad of players in their prime like James, Gustavo Hamer, Solomon. Would suit us well...in the Championship.

….for all the Gnonto admirers, James was at a different level every time I watched Leeds. I wasn’t a fan at all but there’s no doubt who’s the most effective of the two.
It will be very hard to sign any of the better players from the promoted clubs.
The rewards available for staying in the Premiership will far outweigh any fee they may earn in a transfer.

I certainly think there are at least two Sunderland players we would be after if they had not won promotion.

Can someone tell me why we might want Grealish on loan? Of all the players we might look at, why the hell?

Surely we a) don't have the money to fund him and it would be stupid to waste any that we do have, when someone like him is not our priority b) he's not some kind of prolific goal scorer - which we need obviously - so wouldn't money spent on a very pricey loan deal be better spent on permanent deals for other positions?

Isn't this a case of wanting some kind of "money signing" to show off in our bright, lovely stadium? Surely Moyes wouldn't be keen on this.

I really don't get it and I hope it doesn't happen

The mail reckon we want Omari Hutchinson

City would have to cover a lot of his wages and he would be on loan so not that expensive if you consider we tried to chuck 30 mil at Delap
